Independent alternative sourcing

CorePoint Sourcing Comparable Factory Quote Process

CorePoint Sourcing coordinates questions and factory quotations. It is an independent sourcing service, does not claim authorized dealer status, and does not offer the referenced brand as a product for sale.

Checklist of use dimensions and destination

Lock the same questions for every supplier

Each factory should receive the building use, the product format, the footprint, the eave height, the layout, and the finish level. If one supplier assumes a bare platform and another assumes painted interior walls, the numbers are not comparable.

Add project location, the authority having jurisdiction, quantity, destination, and the week the buyer hopes to receive the building. Timing is a request, not a promised ship date.

Cost lines split into freight tax and installation

Split costs that do not belong in one total

Ask for the building package, freight, duties, taxes, foundation, installation, and commissioning as separate lines. A lower package number can sit next to a larger delivered number once the crane and the pier work are added.

Shell packages leave more responsibility with local trades. Turnkey packages move more coordination into the quotation and still need a written exclusion list. Neither format is a discount claim.

Supplier document folder labeled by system

Match documents to the quoted system

Request drawings, calculations, a material list, and any inspection record the supplier says applies. Confirm the record names the same system, plant, and project jurisdiction. ISO 9001 or IAS AC472 language on a marketing page is a prompt to ask for the certificate scope, not a credential of this website.

A 25 ft bay spacing and a 40 ft clear span are examples of dimensions a workshop buyer might write. They are not a design sold from this page. Wind speed and ground snow load stay blank until the site is known.

Questions grouped by decision

Scope

Which requirements must each supplier quote?

Use, dimensions, design loads, jurisdiction, quantity, destination, and the included finish. If a load is unknown, the supplier should state the assumption instead of leaving a blank that later becomes a change.

Can two factories use different member types?

Yes, if the buyer can see cold-formed steel versus hot-rolled steel, the coating, and the effect on weight and transport. The difference is a deviation to accept or reject, not a hidden substitution.

Money and exclusions

Which costs need their own confirmation?

Freight, taxes, foundation, utilities, installation, and spare parts. A package that stops at the shell should not be averaged with a package that includes interior build-out.

What if the buyer has a budget range?

Write the amount or range, the currency, and whether it is per unit or for the whole order. The absence of a budget does not block the inquiry. A budget is not a price this site has already obtained.

Limits

What can this service not decide?

Code compliance, structural adequacy, and contract award stay with the buyer and the licensed professionals on the project. CorePoint Sourcing does not stamp drawings and does not claim a factory of its own.

Send one brief to start the comparison

  • Same use, loads, and destination for each supplier
  • Scope marked included, excluded, or optional
  • Documents tied to the quoted system
  • No claim that a named brand will be the shipper

Three limits sit beside the form: route limits can reject a finished module; a shell total is not a turnkey total; and a code path cannot be chosen before the jurisdiction is named.
