CorePoint Sourcing Modular and Portable Building Inquiry Options

The cards below are buyer-defined alternatives for a modular or portable building search. Open a card to place that name on the shared inquiry. Nothing on this grid is a stock count, a signed factory, or a claim that a named brand product will be supplied.

Modular & Portable Buildings

What still separates one option from the next

A volumetric module, a portable project office, and a relocatable classroom module can share a rectangular photo and still differ in occupancy, exit hardware, and foundation interface. Write the use before asking a factory to price a name from this list.

Module dimensions belong in feet or metres, with length, width, and eave height on separate lines. A 12 ft by 40 ft floor does not state the interior clear height or the corridor width after wall thickness. Ask the supplier which face is the transport envelope and which face is the finished exterior.

Design live load and design dead load should be numeric. A floor at 50 psf live load is a different brief from storage that needs a higher value. Wind speed, wind exposure category, ground snow load, and seismic design category come from the project site, not from a generic brochure. An example note is 120 mph, exposure C, 30 psf ground snow, and seismic design category D, and that example is not a design for any real address.

Cold-formed steel and hot-rolled steel can both appear in a modular floor or a rigid frame. The quotation should name the member, the grade, and the coating, then say whether secondary framing such as purlin and girt is included. Bay spacing and clear span matter when the buyer expects an open room rather than a line of posts.

Thermal transmittance or an R-value is climate and code dependent. An R-19 roof note is useful when the wall, the floor, and the window U-factor are on the same sheet. Fire-resistance rating, if the jurisdiction asks for it, has to name the assembly, not a marketing label.

Quantity is a count of modules or building sets. Destination is a place with access limits, not a country alone. State who supplies the crane lift plan, who sets the unit, and whether utilities stop at a stub or continue into the room. Related pages: quote coordination and the requirement form.

Limits to keep visible: a text card is not a tested assembly; an empty image field means the photo is not on this site yet; and two quotations cannot be ranked while one excludes freight and the other includes installation. Panelized construction can pack flatter than volumetric modular construction, but the site then carries more assembly weather risk. That trade-off is a buyer choice, not a ranking from CorePoint Sourcing.
