Checklist, not a sustainability statement

CorePoint Sourcing RFQ Checklist for Alternative Buildings

Use this page to see which specification choices are still open before an alternative quotation is accepted. CorePoint Sourcing is an independent sourcing service. It does not claim authorized dealer status and it does not treat a brand search as a finished design.

Four checks before quotations are lined up

01

Use and format

Name the occupancy and whether the building is volumetric, panelized, foldable, or a steel frame.

02

Size and loads

Write footprint, eave height, clear span, live load, wind, snow, and seismic category when known.

03

Scope split

Mark shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey items as included or excluded.

04

Evidence

Ask which drawing, calculation, and material note belongs to the quoted system.

Open choices to close in the brief

Geometry
Module dimensionsLength, width, and height in the transport state and in the set state
Bay spacingNeeded when a rigid frame replaces a stack of modules
Foundation interfacePiers, slab, or anchors, and who designs them
Performance the buyer must supply
Design live loadExample placeholder 50 psf, replaced by the project value
Wind speedExample placeholder 120 mph with wind exposure category
Ground snow loadExample placeholder 30 psf, site specific
Thermal transmittanceRoof, wall, and floor targets, such as an R-19 roof note if that is the project ask

Quantity and destinationCount, delivery point, and who unloads
Supplier preferencePremium, mid-range, budget-friendly, or undecided. A preference is not a verified rating

Questions before an alternative is accepted

Which specification choices are still open?

Any blank for jurisdiction, design dead load, fire-resistance rating, or utility scope is still open. A factory assumption should be labeled as an assumption so it can be accepted or replaced.

Standard layout or project-specific engineering?

A standardized unit can be compared faster when the published module dimensions and options fit the site. A custom engineered system fits unusual spans, crane loads, or local amendments and takes a different drawing set. Choose by fit, not by a slogan. CorePoint Sourcing can request both and cannot certify either.

What should be verified before acceptance?

The proposed manufacturer, the member list, the coating, the transport envelope, the crane lift plan, and the exclusion list. A reference to IBC, ASCE 7, or ISO 9001 is a request for the applicable document, not proof that this inquiry has been approved.

Where do the limits show up?

A foldable unit has one size on the truck and another size after it opens, so both must be on the sheet. A shell quotation omits interior work that a turnkey quotation may include. An address outside the assumed wind map voids a borrowed load. Those three limits are why the checklist exists.

Next steps stay on the options list and the requirement form.
